Human Exploitation Training

Join us on November 7th, 2017 for an informational training which will equip attendees with an understanding of the roles homeless service providers and community members have in identifying and safely intervening in suspected cases of human exploitation. This full day training will walk attendees through the full journey from risk factors to victim-hood, to rescue, to post rescue and recovery. This training will be hosted by trainers Heather Stockdale, CEO of Georgia Cares and Meredith Holt, Agent of FBI MATCH Task Force.

Strengthening Families Training

On February 28, in Macon Georgia Executive Director Katheryn Preston will host a half day Strengthening Families training. Well-trained and informed staff and volunteers working with homeless families and children can play an important role in preventing child abuse. By the end of this training, you will have tools for your work with families, children, and youth. This training is being tailored by the facilitator Katheryn Preston to focus on special needs of persons living in a state of homelessness. Included is a thorough understanding of the five Protective Factors, how to recognize strengths in families you work with and how incorporating the Protective Factors can help your families meet challenges.
